The Department of Physics & Astronomy at George Mason University offers graduate programs at the master and Ph.D. levels.
The Physics Bachelor's and Accelerated Master's Program allows highly qualified and motivated undergraduates to earn both B.S. and M.S. degrees in five years. The Applied and Engineering Physics M.S. Program offers a terminal M.S. in applying physics techniques and knowledge to technical problems in the workplace, or, with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with an emphasis in electrical engineering.
A Ph.D. may be earned in such research areas as astronomy, astrophysics, and space and planetary science; astronomy and physics education; atomic physics; biophysics and neuroscience; condensed matter and solid state physics and material science; nonlinear dynamics; nuclear and elementary particle physics; and quantum studies.
So that qualified students have an opportunity to learn more about the graduate programs in Physics and Astronomy at GMU, the Department offers an expenses paid visit to Mason. Check it out.
