(1 April 2009) Philip Naudus, a Mason junior and double major in physics and math, has just been named a 2009 Goldwater Scholar, Mason's first. Having grown up in Fairfax, where he was home-schooled, Philip has substantial research experience, under the supervision of Drs. Nathalia Peixoto (ECE), Indu Satija (PHYS), and Karen Sauer (PHYS), as well as at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He sings bass in the Mason Chorale, volunteers in the community, and is active in campus organizations.
