Title

More than Meets the Eye - Astronomy with Radio Waves

Faculty Member

Harold Geller

Abstract

Astronomy is done today across the electromagnetic spectrum, not just visible light. GMU has a small radio telescope which has already been utilized by undergraduate students and high school students in their student research projects. I will discuss the nature of the observations that are done at a specific frequency and their significance.
