NASA highlights GMU-led study on the origin of supermassive black holes

NASA has highlighted a new study led by SPACS Professor Shobita Satyapal detailing the possible “cosmic seeds” of supermassive black holes. The paper was coauthored by SPACS graduate students Nathan Secrest and William McAlpine, along with S.L. Ellison of the University of Victoria, Canada, J. Fischer of the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC, and SPACS Associate Professor Jessica Rosenberg.
