Students at CERN with Professor Phil Rubin

Innovators: Traveling Beyond the Equations

A group of George Mason University, including physics major Kaitlin Howell, shared a once in a lifetime experience in the summer of 2010, tackling real world physics questions at one of the world’s most famous science facilities, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. In this episode of Innovators, the students and their mentor, Phil Rubin, share the benefits of field experience, and the effect it can have on a student scientist.
